Questions

The ones that come up

What does a video actually cost?

Credits are metered per generated second, and the rate depends on the model and resolution. H3 Max at 768p is 3.8 credits/second, so a 5-second clip is 19 credits — under 50 cents. Premium models cost more and the studio shows the exact number before you generate.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The studio runs in the browser. There is also a REST API and an MCP server if you want an agent to drive it — you can request a quote, approve it, and only then run the batch.

Can I use the output commercially?

Yes, on the plans sold here, subject to each model provider's terms. MiniMax H3 open weights are not offered in the EU, UK, Korea or the United States, and the studio enforces that at submission time.

What happens if a render fails?

Failed and moderated renders are not charged. Credits reserved for a job are released automatically, and a batch that cannot start is refunded in full.

How does annual billing work?

Annual plans are billed once and grant twelve months of credits up front. The per-month price on an annual plan is lower than monthly, and unused credits stay valid for a year.

Is there a free trial?

Not a trial, but the smallest top-up is $10 for 250 credits — enough for a dozen short clips to judge the output before committing to a plan.
